Skopje East Gate (SEG) is part of Balfin Group, one of the largest private investment groups in the Western Balkans Region. SEG is a real estate developer from Macedonia. Since its beginnings in 1993 the Group has been active in real estate, retail trade, mineral industry, tourism, agriculture, energy, services and investments.

The main focus of the company is development of 152,000 sqm land plot located in Skopje Central Business District. East Gate will be the largest mixed-use real estate project in the country with over 500,000 sqm GBA, including shopping mall, residential complex and office park. 

This is second real-estate project of Balfin Group in Macedonia following the development of Skopje City Mall. The mall was sold to Hystead Limited, a British company, co-owned by Hyprop Investments Limited and PDI Investment Holdings Limited in October 2015 and has been the largest capital markets transaction in the country.  

Balfin's wide ranging real-estate portfolio includes: the two biggest shopping malls in Tirana (Tirana East Gate and QTU), Tirana Logistic Park, residential developments Rolling Hills and Ambasador 3, as well as leisure resorts Vala Mar Residences and  Green Coast. Besides real-estate the Group is also active in mineral industry, energy trading retail, banking and agriculture.
